Hi, I’m Alex

For the past 16 years, I've worked with students at Singapore's international schools — teaching IB, IGCSE, and AP Mathematics, and helping them turn the syllabus from something they survive into something they actually understand.

My background is in engineering and physics and that shapes the way I teach. I'm less interested in shortcuts and more interested in why: why a method works, why an exam question is built the way it is, and why most students struggle with concepts that are actually simpler than they look once you see the structure.

Every course on this site reflects what 16 years in the classroom have taught me about where students actually get stuck. The explanations are built around the misconceptions I've seen come up again and again — and the examples are designed to address them directly, the way I've learned matters most.

Whether you're aiming for a 7 in AA HL, working on your Internal Assessment, or preparing for university applications, you're in the right place. Let's get to work.
